HUGE update

So Sorry that we havent updated the blog in almost 2 weeks. Its been busy and crazy and A LOT has happened since the last update. Well on Monday February 15 we decided to put an offer on the house that we LOVED! It was a little out of our budget but we didnt want anything else and it was just to perfect to pass up. We put our offer in and it came back a little more than what we wanted to pay BUT they were willing to pay all of our fees/closing costs and it was perfect for us. So we accepted the offer. YAY!!!!!! Then on Friday we had our inspection and it went great. There was nothing Majorly wrong like you see on the HGTV shows. We were very happy and so excited that we were able to see the house again. Of course we sat there planning where everything is going. Closing day is April 2nd (right before Jacob's Birthday). April 2nd can not come sooner. We are so excited! WE BOUGHT A HOUSE! YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAY! No more rent. No more townhouse. No more little room for Jacob and DOlly to play. This house has a HUGE backyard for dolls and Jacob to play. It also has a deck. Its going to be a fun summer. We are going to do a little remodeling in the kitchen and paint the rooms. But other than that..its pretty much move in ready.
The house is in LaVergne which is about 15 minutes south of Nahsville and Yes I wil be looking for another job. We are not going to actually move into the house till the end of May. I want to finish school before we move so Jacob and I don't have to commute.
Another big change in our life right now is that Jacob is starting Daycare on Monday. We found an inhome daycare that cares for only 7 children. He will be the youngest but I know he will have a great time with other children.
A few pics of the house.

Its been a while

A quick update on everything.

Jacob is walking EVERYWHERE! The only time he actually crawls is when he wants to pull up on something so he can take off. Actually he is starting to run a little bit. Its crazy. His two top teeth are coming in and I see two bumps next to those so we have a lot of teeth coming in. Poor baby. He is in a lot of pain. I am starting to plan Jacob's first birthday and so far its going to be a really cute party.

Nate got a job in Murfreesboro, Tn which is 30 miles south of Nashville but we are probably going to live in the Smyrna/La Vergne area. That is a lot closer to Nashville. We are going to buy a house. We went house hunting this past Saturday and found a house that we love but we are going back on Sat. to look at more. We hope to but an offer on a house in the next week to week and a half. I am going to commute to clarksville and work at West Creek until I find myself another job. I am def. Job hunting right now though.

Those are my quick updates. Pics, videos, and more updates to come very very soon. Keep checking back! :)

Going up!

Well, we put up the baby gate in front of the stairs as a precaution. Now it's there as a necessity. We knew Jacob was a climber, but we didn't really know if he would, or even could, go up the stairs.

We decided to find out...

Grilled Cheese!

Jacob's first actual meal that was not pureed was Grilled Cheeese and he loved it. I made grilled cheese for Nate and I and gave Jacob some. I am glad he is a fan.

BIG/IMPORTANT NEWS

A lot has happened in the past few weeks. We GUESS Nate didnt get the job in Irving. He applied for a job in Irving, TX and even got the second interview. They told Nate they would let him know the week of Jan. 4th if he got the job and they never called. It has been a month now and we still dont know. Nate has called and emailed so many times but no one will contact us to let us know what is going on. VERY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL if you ask me. So Nate and I decided to stick around Clarksville for a while longer and buy a house. We were very excited for our decision. I took Thursday off and we went with our realtor to look at houses and we found the PERFECT house and it was the perfect price. We were so excited and we were going to put an offer on it today. We really wanted a house by April 10 so we could have lots of people over for Jacob's birthday party.
That afternoon, Nate went to work early because they had a mandatory meeting. He called me after the meeting letting me know that he will be laid off March 9th. I immediately started to bawl. I hated crying so hard infront of Jacob but I couldnt help it. I was more upset that we werent going to buy a house anymore. He told me that the copy editing desk in Clarksville is moving to Murfreesboro, Tn which is 30 minutes south of Nashville and 1 1/2 hours south of Clarksville. He also told me that the copy editing desk in Jackson, Tn is also moving to Murfreesboro. Which means that there are 12 positions at Murfreesboro and 17 people who might apply. Of course Nate is going to apply for the job and he has an excellent chance of getting it. If so, then we will move to Nashville or Smyrna (which is a suburb of Nashville) and we will buy a house there. I hate leaving Clarksville but this is what we will have to do. If he does get the job then I will probably finish off the year teaching and apply for a teaching job in Nashville for the fall.
If Nate doesnt get this job in Murfreesboro then I have no idea what we will do. We will figure out something though. So please please please keep us in your thoughts and prayers as we move onto the next part of our life. I will keep you updated when we know something about this new job.

Snow 2010

It snows 6 inches in Clarksville and Jacob had a wonderful time watching the snow fall and playing in the snow. We made snow angels and played with Dolly. It was very cold so after a while we went inside and had a warm bottle of formula to warm him up.
